Rural Poverty Alleviation Programmes (RPAP)

Definition of poverty vary from country to country, but FWF is focussing on the non-availability of food and support initiatives to avail food. In the developing world, rural poverty is closely linked with land availability and ownership of faming land. Consultation with national and local governments for change of legislation to overcome this situation is always a priority or FWF.

Employment generation programmes, support for self-employment through technology transfer, microfinance and market intervention are also taken as tools to tackle rural poverty by FWF.
