About Flexi Welfare Foundation

Flexi Welfare Foundation is a philanthropic organisation aimed at supporting orphan, children from economically deprived families, people with disabilities, people living in high degree of disadvantaged situations from developing countries in areas like education, health, livelihood and shelter.

The organisation is working on a whole range of developmental platforms with an aim for sustainable, environment friendly changes to improve the quality of life of the target communities.

Project Selection
Projects to FWF come in two streams. Proposals send by other agencies, or individuals and projects directly identified by FWF. Every proposal has to undergo a preliminary assessment, which invariably is a fact finding mission. At the second stage proposals are assessed against a 7 point scale which includes among other criteria, the environmental impact and potential for sustainable improvement / development of the situation in hand.

Project Implementation
FWF believes in the local involvement of the target community in every stage of the project implementation. Such a participatory developmental initiative makes sure that our views are biased against the views of the target community. Normally every project team is headed by a Project executive and programme officers are the community / field level workers. Every team should have at least one community representative. The team would include both technical and non-technical hands depending on the nature of the project. For a drinking water project for a rural community, there would be civil engineers experienced in water harvesting technologies as technical hand working along with non-technical people.

Project Duration
The policy of FWF does not permit to undertake any proposal with an execution period of more than 5 years.

Post Implementation Study
FWF believes that it must learn from its own actions. A revisit of the completed project at a suitable time after at least 2 years of completion of the execution of the project is mandatory for every project we undertake. This would definitely look for any undesirable elements got into the system as a result of the intervention. This includes both social and physical aspects.

Documentation
FWF takes effort in documenting every project it undertakes. This is useful for future reference as well.
